James Chapman

CEO & Founding Partner

James Chapman has unrivalled experience at the top of both journalism and government. A former chairman of the Westminster Parliamentary lobby group of accredited political journalists, he was the youngest political editor in the history of the Daily Mail, where he covered the governments of three prime ministers, from Blair to Cameron. He left journalism to work as director of communications at HM Treasury, where he was one of George Osborne’s most senior advisers. He played an integral part in advising on Budget policy and managing communications for fiscal events. James left Government to become a communications consultant in 2017 and is a co-founding partner and director of Soho Communications.

He has represented a wide range of corporate and charity clients and high profile individuals, including Rocco Forte Hotels, the National Trust and Reed. Representing 400 leading businesses in the retail, hospitality, tourism and arts sectors, he masterminded a campaign to restore tax-free shopping which has been covered prominently across the media.

Camilla Greenwood

Head of Luxury & Hospitality

Camilla Greenwood is a luxury PR and communications specialist with over a decade of international experience across the UK, US, LATAM and Europe. She leads the Luxury & Hospitality division at Soho Communications, overseeing global strategy for a portfolio of high-profile clients including Rocco Forte Hotels, Fairmont Monte Carlo and Astrea London.

Camilla specialises in shaping brand positioning, securing top-tier media coverage and delivering high-impact partnerships, launches and events. She is particularly focused on positioning brands at the intersection of culture, travel and lifestyle, and building long-term relationships with leading editors and industry tastemakers.

​​Prior to Soho Communications, Camilla worked with globally renowned hospitality groups including Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Auberge Collection and 1 Hotel Mayfair. She holds a first-class MA in Luxury Brand Management from Richmond University and Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, and speaks Spanish, with additional working knowledge of Portuguese and Italian.

Matthew Drake

Account Director

Matthew is an award-winning, multi-skilled media and broadcast specialist, skilled storyteller with decades of management level executive for leading media outlets. A twice BAFTA nominated producer with an innate knowledge of how to create compelling narratives, shape campaigns and navigate crises.

During nearly a decade at ITV’s flagship morning news programme, Good Morning Britain, he has overseen numerous award-winning interviews and live broadcasts as well as steering coverage of elections, conflicts, and major international events.

Prior to a switch to broadcast, Matthew was a chief reporter and foreign correspondent for several UK newspapers who has worked across the globe.

Having worked with some of the biggest named presenters and senior figures in public life, he has an enviable contacts book stretching from the Westminster beltway to prominent figures in sport, law and entertainment, Matthew is adept at maximising great stories in a precise, creative and engaging way.

Katrina van den Broek

Director

Katrina works across Soho Communications’ luxury brand clients including Rocco Forte Hotels, Kurt Geiger, Fairmont Monte Carlo, Showerings and Paracelsus Recovery.

Katrina is responsible for pitching and securing high-level media profiles and features for her clients, planning and managing launch events, organising journalist visits and meetings with clients, and securing a steady stream of coverage, She is particularly focused on creating brand growth strategies for her clients, as well as building relationships with features, luxury, lifestyle and business editors.

Before joining Soho Communications, Katrina spent five years in São Paulo where she worked in the Business Development team for Brazil’s largest messaging company where she was responsible for developing and bringing to market two new multi-channel platforms. Prior to TWW, Katrina worked as a Strategic Planner at the advertising agency, Idealista for two years, where she created television and print campaigns for various clients including Brazil’s largest television network.

Jay Jammal

Senior Account Executive

Jay Jammal joined Soho Communications in September 2023 after moving to London from Denver, Colorado, where he graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications. 

Now focusing on the Luxury and Hospitality sector, Jay works on a range of high-profile clients including Rocco Forte Hotels, Fairmont Monte Carlo, Mastcraft Group, Kiki McDonough, Big Give, and Sabine Rooftop. His previous experience includes work for Reed Recruitment, National Trust, and Dentakay.

Antonia Penna Rojas

Account Executive

Antonia Penna Rojas studied Business and Management at the University of Exeter. After graduating, she began her career in luxury travel and hospitality, where she has worked with high-end travel brands and gained experience across the industry.

Theo

Chief Happiness Officer

Theo didn't choose the CHO life; the CHO life chose him. Since taking the lead on our culture initiatives, productivity has skyrocketed (mostly because everyone wants to finish their work so they can play fetch). When Theo isn't busy networking with the local squirrel population, he can be found leading our "Bark-and-Learn" sessions or sleeping through budget meetings. A firm believer that "every dog has its day," Theo ensures that every day at the office is a paws-itive experience.
